Did you know that if you have a good case for why a particular website needs to be available for your course and students, you can probably get that URL openned up? How you ask? Send the IT guys and 'cc' your Training Director an email to: helpdesk@durack.edu.au with the URL (web address) of the site that you need your students to access and briefly explain how the website fits into your course content / outcomes.
Access to software and licensing issues It is an unfortunate reality that Durack can't afford to have unlimited licences for many of the expensive software products, like Adobe xx for example. But just about every program that you might want to use to develop resources will have a free or open source alternative that you can use. Speak to the IT guys and they will either already know what is available, or do some research and get back to you.
